About Art Meets Math

Colorful fractal spiral nautilus pattern with vivid shades of purple, blue, green, yellow, and red, forming a recursive looping design.
Handwritten notes of complex mathematical equations involving variables such as EK, VK, lambda, and beta, with a boxed formula for P(U) written in red ink.

Art Meets Math is a digital art collection built from the visionary work of Larry Holbrook, a mathematician, artist, and innovator who saw beauty in numbers.

After retiring, Larry’s fascination with fractals in nature inspired him to began writing his own mathematical formulas to generate vivid, abstract digital compositions. Using early digital tools and custom code, he created hundreds of original artworks that transform logic into color and structure. Each piece is a unique blend of precision and imagination. The results are stunning, vibrant, and deeply captivating.

Art Meets Math now exists to preserve, celebrate, and share Larry Holbrook’s groundbreaking art. The collection is available to collectors, art lovers, and anyone inspired by the connection between creativity and original algorithmic computation.
